After studying classical violin and traditional Irish fiddle as a child, Eric Lee branched into psychedelic rock and bluegrass, playing in the pit orchestras of musicals, and writing his own compositions. At age 20, he became a member of the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival’s house band, playing alongside iconic artists like John Gorka, Vance Gilbert, The Kennedys, Lucy Kaplansky, Tracy Grammer and others. He’s drawn on his Falcon Ridge experience for inspiration for his own songwriting, which he’ll demonstrate as this month’s guest performer at the Pioneer Valley Folklore Society’s Song & Story Swap Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Nacul Center, 592 Main St. in Amherst.
