Alejandro A. Moseley, 24, of 70 Larkspur Drive, was arrested at 1:23 a.m. Wednesday on South Pleasant Street on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol (second offense), negligent operation of a motor vehicle to endanger, operating a motor vehicle without headlights and possession of a Class C drug (marijuana hash oil).
A man and woman engaged in sexual activity outside a Greenleaves Drive residence were reported to police at 7:58 a.m. Tuesday.
Officers were dispatched to the apartment complex off Route 9 when a landscaper observed the undressed couple being intimate and their belongings spread out near their vehicle, according to police.
The couple put their clothes back on and attempted to flee in their vehicle, which got hung up on a tire.
Neither the man nor the woman, who were not identified by authorities, face charges, according to police.
Carl Michael Duval, 28, whose address is listed as the streets of Amherst, was arrested at 6:17 p.m. Monday outside the CVS Pharmacy, 76 North Pleasant St., on charges of disorderly conduct and accosting and annoying a person of the opposite sex. Police said Duval and another man allegedly got into an argument over a bottle of vodka, and Duval made inappropriate comments toward a woman.
An 18-year-old Amherst man will be summoned to court on a charge of receiving stolen property over $250 after police found him in possession of a stolen bicycle at the intersection of North Pleasant and Hallock streets at 9:47 p.m. Sunday, police said.
Anthony Picca, 20, of Tyngsborough, was arrested at 11:09 p.m. Saturday on Kellogg Avenue on charges of possession of a Class B drug (cocaine) and being a minor in possession of alcohol. Picca was found loitering behind a downtown business and had a small baggie filled with a white powdery substance, according to police.
Banaias Esayeas, 21, of Houston, was arrested at 1:11 a.m. Saturday outside Jenkins Hall on charges of assault and battery, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
Yolanda F. Cummings, 40, of 182 Northampton St., Apt. M, was arrested on a warrant at Valley Apartments at 8:27 p.m. Saturday.
Raymond P. Howell, 59, who lists his address as the streets of Northampton, was arrested about 11 p.m. Monday on a charge of violating the city’s open container ordinance. Authorities said an officer observed Howell drink from a bottle of Mr. Boston vodka while the man sat beneath the railroad bridge on Bridge Street.
Timothy Callahan, 35, of Cheshire, was arrested about 2:10 p.m. Sunday on a charge of shoplifting after police responded to Big Y supermarket, 136 N. King St. Store employees told police that Callahan was observed walking out of the store with roughly $85 worth of groceries without attempting to pay.
Alec Grater-Cafiero, 22, of Sudbury, was arrested at 3:22 a.m. Sunday on Summer Street on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle to endanger, speeding and failure to stay within marked lanes.
