The Frontier Regional field hockey team returned from Orange with a 3-1 win over Mahar on Monday.
McKenzie Patterson had a goal and an assist for the Red Hawks.
Hannah Roche also scored for Frontier (2-1). It was the eighth-grader’s second goal of the season.
Alexis Ackermann chipped in with a goal while Ashley Borkowski added an assist.
Skyla Burniske made two saves in goal for the Red Hawks.
Smith Academy 0, West Springfield 0 — Taeghan Cavanaugh made seven saves as the Falcons (1-0-1) pulled out a point on the road.
Northampton 4, Palmer 0 — Abby Baldwin and Hazel Ethier dished out two assists each in a home win.
McKenna Goggins, Abby Pelis, Megan McCarthy and Hanna Sledzieski all scored for Northampton (2-0, 1-0 Central)
Blue Devils goalie Danielle Parent made one save.
South Hadley 4, East Longmeadow 0 –— Four players scored for the Tigers in a road win.
Sarah Lacey, Julia Miele, Hannah Menard and Kate O’Neil all had goals. O’Neil added an assist for South Hadley (2-0).
Brittany Cote picked up the shutout with four saves.
Easthampton 3, Pioneer Regional 0 — Autumn Pinard dished out nine assists and dropped four aces in a home win.
Veronica Hing also had four aces to go along with four assists.
Anna Stabile led the Eagles (2-1) with seven kills, while Samantha Sypek had eight digs and two aces.
Ware 3, Smith Voke 0 — Cassandra Paradee had five aces and five kills, but the Vikings lost 25-17, 25-22 and 25-16 at home.
Desyaneria Padilla had eight digs while Stephanie Start added two blocks and six digs.
Avalon Darby chipped in with three assists and four kills.
South Hadley 3, Mahar 2 — Kiana Turner led the way with 14 kills and 20 digs for the Tigers in a 16-25, 18-25, 25-14, 25-23, 15-8 victory.
South Hadley (1-1) lost the first two sets before rallying back.
Morgan Adams had 17 assists and two aces, and Nicole Niemiec added seven kills and eight digs.
