I commend the Gazette for placing the inspiring, positive article about Chesterfield’s tree planting ceremony in memory of Bill Jolly on the front page of the Sept. 7 paper.
I knew Bill, and your writer, Fran Ryan, captured quite fully what a wonderful, caring person he was and how much he was respected and admired by not only the Chesterfield community, but by people throughout the Valley and beyond. It is rare when a journalist is able to do this.
