NORTHAMPTON — Inclement weather is not an excuse area voters can use this year for not getting to the polls. The only things you should need to bring to your polling place Tuesday are a light jacket and electoral enthusiasm.

For Monday, which is forecast to be clear throughout the day, a high of 50 degrees is expected, with temperatures dropping this evening as low as 30 degrees, said Lenore Correia, meteorologist at the National Weather Service.

As for Tuesday, Election Day, a high of 60 degrees is forecast, also with sunny and clear conditions throughout, Correia said. That night there will be a low of 44 degrees, she said.
