Gov. Charlie Baker’s constituent service phone numbers in his Boston and Springfield office were both down Wednesday morning.
When called, the two numbers played the message, “You have reached a non-working number at the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Please check the directory and try again.”
The phone number for the governor’s Washington D.C. office allowed a caller to leave a message.
Advocacy groups have encouraged voters to reach out to their representatives in great numbers to state their disagreement following controversial decisions by President-Elect Donald Trump, including his appointment of Stephen Bannon, executive chairman of Breitbart News Network.
Phone service in the Springfield and Boston offices was restored late morning, according to a spokesman. The issue was technical, according to the spokesman.
