The Frontier Regional wrestling team finished 11th out of 17 teams at Saturday’s Early Bird Tournament in Longmeadow.
Connor Pettis took second place at 126 pounds. He faced three returning sectional placers in the tournament, beating Chicopee Comp’s Ivan Santiago, Sabis’ Khadir Zachery and Longmeadow’s Matt Freda.
Chicopee’s Danny Matta pinned him in the final.
Miguel Olvera-Aguilera took third in the 195-pound weight class despite entering at 178 pounds.
He beat Longmeadow’s Peter Grant before losing to Putnam’s Phillip Rankin in the semifinals.
In the consolation semifinals, Olvera-Aguilera beat South Hadley’s Jacey Rondeau, and he won 4-3 against Ludlow’s Tim Saloio in the third-place match.
