CANCER STUDY – Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. Clinical Psychologist Dr. Amanda Roberts will give a presentation on her research with cancer patients. She plans to conduct a study of the use of EDMR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and its effect on anxiety, trauma and depression. Information on participating in the study will be available.
TAX HELP – AARP Tax-Aide volunteers will be providing free tax return preparation at the Amherst Senior Center Thursdays, April 6 and 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please call to schedule an appointment.
SECOND HAND SHOP – Needs donations of clean adult clothing, jewelry, shoes and small household items. The shop is open every Friday from 9 a.m. to noon. Donations can be left anytime Monday through Friday at the senior center office.

EASTER CRAFT – Felting class meets Monday and the first Monday of every month with instructor Sarah Madison who teaches the basic steps. Make a new piece of Easter jewelry. APRIL HIKE – Chuck Horn will lead the hike at Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary April 12 (bad weather date April 26). Visit the Eagles Nest area. Meet at Westhampton Woods at 1:30 p.m. to carpool. The hike will begin on South Park Street off of Route 10. Somewhat long but easy walk. Return by 3:45 p.m.
MONTHLY BREAKFASTS — The third Friday of each month at Westhampton Woods, Unit F. All are welcome between 8 and 9:30 a.m. for coffee cake or quick bread, hot cereal, coffee, tea, cocoa and conversation.
WALKING GROUP & HIKES – Walkers meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9 a.m. at the parking lot in the center of town. Walk as much or as little as you like around our local area, led by local folks.
