Abby Baldwin tallied four goals and five assists in the Northampton girls lacrosse team’s 15-2 win over Amherst on Wednesday in Northampton.

Megan McCarthy notched four goals and four assists, and Ally Zadworny scored five goals.

Hannah Sledzieski and Elly MacDonald also found the net, while Michelle Radke made five saves for the Blue Devils (1-0).

Jane O’Connell scored both of Amherst’s goals, and Cleo Hein made five saves for the Hurricanes (0-1).

Boys lacrosse

Northampton 17, Granby 1 — Henry Higgins and Henry Attias each accounted for five points in the Blue Devils’ first win of the season.

Higgins had two goals and three assists, while Attias added three goals and two assists.

Tyler Allcroft netted a hat trick.

Ben Howe had two goals, Jay Mahoney added two assists and Theo Ross made two saves for Northampton (1-1).

Drew Wiesel scored for Granby (0-2), and Brad Taft made 14 saves.

Tantasqua 16, South Hadley 10 — Hunter Borowski had a hat trick in a road loss.

Jason Fernandes and Marcus Larrier each scored twice for the Tigers (0-3).

Jake Allard and Shane Smith also found the net.

Boys volleyball

Athol 3, Belchertown 0 — Drew Duquette led the way with 10 kills, but the Orioles lost 25-22, 25-18, 25-19 at home.

Nathan Bresnahan and Nathan Wright added four kills each, while Christopher Lapointe added eight digs for Belchertown (1-2).

Jacob Woodcock directed the offense with 20 assists.
