Abby Baldwin scored five goals and eclipsed the 100-goal milestone for the Northampton girls lacrosse team in an 18-0 home win over Monson Friday.

Baldwin also assisted on three goals. She now has an even 100 goals for her career.

Megan McCarthy led Northampton with seven goals and three assists, while Hannah Sledzieski added two.

Michelle Radke got the shutout, making three saves.

Longmeadow 17, South Hadley 1 — Marley Medina scored an unassisted goal and Hanna Kopec made six saves for South Hadley (0-2).

Williston 18, Wilbraham & Monson 0 — Madison Fulcher-Melendy had five goals and two assists for the Wildcats in a home win.

Boys lacrosse

Pope Francis 15, South Hadley 7 — Marcus Larrier scored three times but the Tigers (0-4) lost on the road.

Stephen Stratton added two goals, while Corey Calkins made 10 saves in net.

Northampton 6, Westfield 5 — Tyler Allcroft tallied four goals, including the go-ahead goal in the fourth period, to lead the Blue Devils over the Terriers

Ryan Heng made 10 saves for Northampton (2-1).

Baseball

Frontier 7, Easthampton 0 — Kalen Evans finished with a double, triple and one RBI in the Red Hawks’ win over the Eagles at home.

Ben Arnold pitched six innings with 10 strikeouts, allowing one hit and two walks to give the Red Hawks (1-0) their first win of the season.

Lance Parrish had the lone hit for the Eagles (0-1).

Turners Falls 1, Smith Academy 0 (8) — John Ferrera went the distance but picked up a loss for the Falcons (0-1).

Ferrera gave up a walk with the bases loaded in the eighth inning to give the Indians the win. He allowed three hits with 13 strikeouts and six walks.

Softball

Northampton 13, Holyoke 1 (5) — Zoe Driscoll-Sbar (two RBIs), Anna Kerwood (RBI) and Hannalise Rivera-Lovett (RBI) each had three hits as the Blue Devils (1-0) rolled on the road.

Kerwood struck out six and walked none in the one-hitter.

Monson 13, Granby 6 — Julia Gauvin finished 2-for-3 with an RBI but it was not enough as the Rams (0-1) fell in their season opener.

Mahar 15, Belchertown 3 (5) — A 14-run fourth inning for the Senators doomed the Orioles in their road loss to open the season.

Alexis Lajeunesse had a hit and an RBI for Belchertown (0-1). Emma LeBlanc tripled.
