Ben Fitzpatrick and Riley Provost had two hits and two RBIs each, and the Hampshire Regional baseball team beat Easthampton 10-3 on the road for its first win Friday.

Fitzpatrick picked up the win on the mound, striking out five in a complete game.

The Raiders (1-3) scored seven runs in the fifth inning.

“They just broke it open,” Easthampton coach Ed Zuchowski said.

Camden Kelly also had two hits and an RBI for Hampshire, while Max Weir and Garrett Antosz drove in a run each.

Easthampton (1-3) scored all three of its runs in the fourth inning.

Dawson Walcott and Lance Parrish singled, then Nic Soucy drove in Walcott.

Matt Arroyo followed with a two-run single.

Ludlow 7, Amherst Regional 1 — Unearned runs hurt the Hurricanes, who committed nine errors in a home loss.

Jake Balderston pitched four innings for Amherst, giving up two earned runs with eight strikeouts.

Max Hopley had an RBI, and Jonah Kane added a single and a walk for the Hurricanes (0-3).

Gateway Regional 18, Putnam 1 — Brett Turban stymied the Beavers with 11 strikeouts in the road win for the Gators (2-1).

Turban went to the distance, giving up two hits and an earned runs.

Shane Mastello had two hits and four RBIs, while Wyatt Heeter went 3-for-5 with two runs scored.

Softball

Central 22, Gateway 13; Easthampton 21, Gateway 0 (5) — The Gators (0-4) played a doubleheader in Huntington.

Ava Auclair hit a grand slam for the Gators in the loss to the Golden Eagles.

Auclair’s blast came in the fourth, and was followed by a Audrey Gamble homer for Gateway (0-4).

Gamble had three other hits and finished 4-for-5.

The Gators had trouble with Easthampton’s Rachel Robinson in the second game of their doubleheader.

In five innings, Robinson gave up three hits, struck out 10 and walked two in the win.

Lisa Sikop had a homer in the third, and Samantha Sypek added two hits for the Eagles (2-0).

Southwick 3, Granby 2 — Both hits turned into runs, but it wasn’t enough for Granby on the road.

Kayla McCreary singled in the third inning, stole second and scored on a throwing error. Mallory Beauregard singled then went to third on a bunt and scored on an error by the pitcher.

Granby (1-3) allowed the winning run in the sixth inning.

Hopkins Academy 12, Smith Voke 6 — Allison Markowski had two hits, including an RBI double, in the Golden Hawks’ home win.

Meagan Quinlan won in the circle, giving up two runs, three hits and striking out five for Hopkins (2-1).

Gabby Palmisano had a hit and two RBIs while Macy Ring went 2-for-5 with two RBIs.

Serenity Rosnouski went 2-for-4 for the Vikings (0-2).

Sabis 12, Smith Academy 11 — A late charge by the Falcons came up short in the home loss.

Erin Gilrein had two hits and three RBIs for Smith Academy (1-2).

Agawam 22, Amherst 7 (5) — Megan Rice hit a three-run homer and struck out three on the mount for the Hurricanes in a road loss.

Ali Smith also had an RBI and a hit, while Emily Hu added two hits for Amherst (0-2, 0-2 Valley).

Girls lacrosse

Granby 7, Chicopee 5 — Kate Sarnacki scored three goals with two assists in a home win for the Rams (2-2).

Jenna Barthlow made seven saves in net for Granby.

Boys volleyball

Southwick 3, Smith Vocational 0 — Tyler Top totaled 11 digs, four aces, three assists, two blocks and two kills in a 25-14, 25-18, 25-12 home loss.

Malcolm Reyes-Stoneham added two digs, two assists, an ace and a kill.

Jayvon Cordova picked up three digs, and Eric Stoltz had two aces, a kill and a dig for the Vikings (1-3).
