AMHERST — A panel will discuss the intersection between activism and politics on the topic of reproductive justice Tuesday night.

The discussion, organized by The Pioneer Valley Women’s March and the UMass Students for Reproductive Justice, is being held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in the Campus Center Room, 174-176.

“While many believe Massachusetts’ progressive tendencies will be enough to protect our residents as the federal government continues to strip away rights and protections, the truth is that both activists and politicians are going to have to work closely together in the State in order to truly guarantee equitable access to reproductive health care for all,” the group wrote in a statement.

Panelists include Northampton City Council member Alisa Klein, former state Rep. Ellen Story and Marisa Pizii, co-director of the Prison Birth Project.
