Amherst saw Northampton’s Weston Twilight Invitational record and raised the Blue Devils on Saturday.
Northampton’s 4×200-meter relay team of Christian Hodgeson, Nikolas Smith, Cole Lavalle and Patrick Quinlan broke the meet record in 1 minute, 29.95 seconds, which broke Newton North’s 1:31.9 mark from last year.
Around five minutes later, Amherst’s sprint medley relay set a meet record in 3:32.52.
Amherst’s Zachary Ellis won the boys javelin at 159 feet, 7 inches.
Lavalle took first in the 400 hurdles for Hamp in 56 seconds, and Smith won the 400 dash in 50.28 seconds.
In the girls meet, South Hadley’s Sophie Gatzounas won the javelin with a throw of 128-02, more than seven inches beyond her closest competitor.
Northampton’s girls distance medley relay took second in 13:03.87.
Hoosac Valley 20, Granby 3 — Drew Wiesel scored two goals, while Corey Hinikley added a goal and an assist Saturday.
Doug Labbee had an assist, while Logan Gray made 10 saves and Ryan Walz seven for the Rams (3-7).
Minnechaug 9, Northampton 3 — Henry Attias scored twice in a home loss Saturday.
Jameson Miller had the other goal for the Blue Devils (9-3), and Henry Higgins added an assist.
Ryan Heng made 11 saves.
South Hadley 11, Agawam 10 — Marcuss Larrier scored seven goals to help the Tigers win Saturday.
Jason Fernadnes had six assists, while Shane Smith chipped in two goals and two assists for South Hadley (2-9).
Jacob Allard and Hunter Borowski had goals, while Stephen Stratton and Liam Dawson added assists.
Corey Calkins made 18 saves.
Minnechaug 18, Amherst 3 — Malia MacDonald tallied a goal and two assists in a home loss Saturday.
Tea LaRaja and Rachel Kawall scored, while Jane O’Connell had an assist for Amherst (2-10).
Cleo Hein made six saves.
Granby 11, Chicopee 3 — Kate Sarnacki led the Rams with four goals and three assists in a road win Saturday.
Jessica Patruno had three goals and an assist. She has 96 career goals.
Rosalynn Vollbrecht scored twice, while Madison Sexton added a goal and an assist for Granby (7-4).
Gabrielle Walz had a goal, and Rachel Netta dished out an assist.
Jenna Barthlow made 11 saves for Granby.
Boys Ultimate
Four Rivers Tournament — Northampton went 1-3 in Greenfield over the weekend.
The Blue Devils beat Pioneer Valley Performing Arts 13-3 and lost to Masconomet 13-2, Northfield Mount Hermon 12-2 and Four Rivers 13-6.
Joshua Cooper led Northampton (3-11) seven goals. Ezra Norris had nine assists and 10 defensive stops in the tournament.
