Tea LaRaja and Jane O’Connell each scored four goals and assisted on two more as the Amherst Regional girls lacrosse team bested Pope Francis, 14-8 at home Tuesday.

Rachel Kawall and Malia MacDonald (assist) both had two goals for Amherst (4-12).

Mira Binzen and Malina Kern each had one goal, while Nina Hayes had one assist.

Clea Hein made five saves.

Northampton 14, East Longmeadow 8 — Megan McCarthy and Abby Baldwin each had five goals and two assists for the Blue Devils in a home win.

Hannah Sledziewski (two assist), Alli Zadworny (assist), Hazel Ethier and Matti Tacy (assist) each had one goal in the win.

Michelle Radke made six saves in net for Northampton (11-3).

West Springfield 16, South Hadley 5 — Julie Miele had two goals while Sarah Lacey, Briana Couture and Jillian Whalen each had one for the Tigers (4-11), who fell on the road.

Boys lacrosse

Agawam 12, Amherst 10 — Willy Wright and Aidan Bass scored four goals apiece, but the Hurricanes fell at home.

Vance Cannella and Miles Foerster had the other goals for Amherst (3-11).

Boys volleyball

Holyoke 3, Smith Vocational 0 — Tyler Top had six blocks, eight digs, two assists and five kills for the Vikings, who fell 25-7, 25-13, 25-17 at home.

Carlos Rivera added two blocks, seven digs, one assist and three kills.

Putnam 3, Belchertown 1 — Despite six kills by Andrew Duquette and seven blocks by Kyle Zielinski, the Orioles (7-11) fell 25-23, 22-25, 25-22, 25-23.
