Danielle McGan threw a no-hitter for the Hampshire Regional softball team in a 9-0 win at South Hadley on Tuesday.
McGan struck out seven with four walks. In McGan’s last six starts, opposing offenses have a combined two runs.
She also hit a triple for the Raiders (13-4, 6-0 Suburban).
Madison Philbrook hit a three-run double, while Brielle Bergeron had three hits and two RBIs.
East Longmeadow 25, Amherst 5 (5) — Megan Rice had an RBI for the Hurricanes (1-17).
Mikah McNamara also added a hit.
Granby 20, Belchertown 19 — Kate Sullivan recorded her 100th career hit in a high-scoring home win for the Rams.
Granby walked off against the Orioles when Alexis Strycharz drew a walk with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh. Previously, Kylie Biron tied the game at 19 with an infield single.
Granby needs to win two of its last three games to secure a postseason spot.
Mallory Beauregard went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBIs, while Sullivan added three hits for the Rams (8-9).
Emma LeBlanc (RBI) and Lauren LeBlanc (two RBIs) both had two hits for Belchertown (3-16).
Frontier Regional 20, Hopkins Academy 4 — The Red Hawks scored 10 times in the third inning and pulled away from the Golden Hawks at home.
Frontier (8-9, 5-8 Franklin) needs to win at Athol, Thursday at 5 p.m. to earn a spot in the postseason.
Kenzie Patterson had three hits including a two-run home run to left, and three RBIs.
Senior Sarah Meunier and Hanna Laclaire both played well on senior day for Frontier. Meunier had three hits and three RBIs, while Laclaire had two hits and an RBI.
Macy Ring had a three-run home run for Hopkins (3-14, 0-13).
Smith Academy 17, Easthampton 2 (6) — The Falcons moved one game closer to a playoff spot in a home win over the Eagles.
A win Thursday against Pioneer Valley Regional will qualify them for the Division 4 tournament.
Liam Pitrat got the win, pitching six innings with seven strikeouts and two earned runs.
John Ferrara had a double and a triple with three RBIs while Jack Hession added two hits and a RBI.
Sam Dadmun had a hit and three RBIs for Smith Academy (8-9, 7-2 Hampshire East).
For the Eagles, (1-14) Lance Parrish had an RBI double.
Hampshire Regional 13, Gateway Regional 2 — The Raiders seven-run fourth turned a small lead into a blow out as Hampshire pulled away.
The Raiders (9-10) need to beat St. Mary, Friday at 4 p.m. to earn a spot in the postseason.
Jordan Washburn allowed four hits without walking anyone while striking out eight in five innings for the Raiders.
Everett Warner had two doubles and four RBIs, while Ben Fitzpatrick had two hits and two runs.
Jake McKittrick was 3-for-4 for the Gators (3-16).
Frontier Regional 9, Turners Falls 1 — Ben Arnold didn’t need nearly the cushion he got.
The Red Hawk pitcher allowed three hits and didn’t walk anyone while striking out nine as Frontier (12-5, 6-2 Hampshire West) cruised past the Indians.
Kalen Evans had a hit and drove in two runs for Frontier. Matt Hilldreth had two hits and stole two bases.
Hopkins Academy 14, Belchertown 6 — Trailing the Orioles 4-2, the Golden Hawks scored nine times in the bottom of the fifth to seize control of the bird battle in Hadley.
Trevor Fil struck out 15 in the win for Hopkins (7-10), while allowing four hits and seven walks.
Jon Morrison (three runs), Liam Higgins and Justin Butterfield (two runs) each had two hits for the Hawks
Hayen Bennis had a two-run double for Belchertown (3-13).
Commerce 7, Smith Voke 3 — A three run sixth inning wasn’t enough for the Vikings in a home loss.
Matt Hewes went 2-for-4 with a double and a single for Smith Voke.
Sean Gross had an RBI groundout in the sixth for the Vikings (10-9).
South Hadley 3, Greenfield 1 — Nehemiah Wilson and David Adams had RBIs in a home win for the Tigers.
Evan Levrault picked up the win on the mound, only giving up one hit with three strikeouts.
Chance Almonte was on base three times with a hit and two walks for South Hadley (14-4, 8-1 Hampshire West).
Amherst 2, East Longmeadow 0 — Trevor Edwards went the distance for the Hurricanes in a home win.
Edwards struck out six, gave up three hits with a walk.
Max Hopley had two hits and scored the game-winning run when Will Budington reached on an error, allowing Hopley to score from second base.
Jake Balderston added an RBI single among his two hits.
Nathan Masteralexis had two hits for Amherst (7-12).
Amherst 15, Chicopee Comp 8 — Willy Wright scored eight goals with two assists in a road win for the Hurricanes (4-12).
Declan Gray-Mullen and Aidan Bass both scored twice for Amherst.
Vance Canella, Dimitris Son and Liam Kelley each had a goal and an assist.
Jonathan Rodriguez made 21 saves in net.
Granby 12, Amherst 11 — Jess Patruno scored with a second left to win the game for the Rams.
She finished with two goals.
Kate Sarnacki scored eight times, while Julia Frappier (one assist), Kaelyn Croteau and Madison Sexton all found the net twice.
Jenna Barthlow stopped 10 shots for Granby (14-5).
Jane O’Connell scored four times for Amherst (6-13).
Tea LaRaja added three goals and two assists, and Malia MacDonald scored twice.
Malina Kern and Rachel Kawall each had a goal. Cleo Hein made six saves.
Westfield 22, South Hadley 9 — Natalie Patruno scored three times with an assist in a road loss for the Tigers (4-13).
Briana Couture scored four times while Sarah Lacey assisted on four goals.
Julia Miele and Kera Murphy scored once.
