Hector DeJesus hit a walk-off single in the ninth inning as the Northampton Post 28 American Legion baseball team beat Greenfield, 4-3, Tuesday at Arcanum Field.
DeJesus was 2-for-4 with two singles, while Ian Ostberg was 2-for-3 with a double and a single for Post 28 (3-0).
Kevin Banas was 2-for-4 with a single and an RBI double.
Liam Pitrat started and pitched six innings. He held Post 81 (1-1) scoreless before allowing two runs in the fifth and one in the sixth. Pitrat allowed five hits with one strikeout and no walks.
Matt Bouley earned the win with two innings of relief. Brandon Zaikowski pitched one inning in relief of Pitrat.
