Jake Brittain had a hit and two RBIs as the Northampton Mickey Mantle baseball team beat Amherst, 4-2, on the road Tuesday.
Jamie Berrios picked up the win for Northampton, striking out five in five innings.
Nick Heafey got the save after two innings of relief with two strikeouts. He also had a single, double and triple.
Ben Fowler scored a run and drove in another run, while Patrick Serio had an RBI.
Berrios also touched the plate for Northampton.
JB Mills had a hit and scored a run for Amherst.
Evan Hu also added a hit.
The first Western Mass Legion All-Star Game and showcase will be Wednesday at Bullens Field in Westfield.
It will feature two primary events: a college prospects game for 2018/2019 grads and a senior game for 2016/2017 grads.
The college prospect game will start at noon and end at 3 p.m. The senior game goes from 4-7 p.m.
West Springfield Post 207 has forfeited the rest of its season. Easthampton Post 224, Northampton Post 28 and South Hadley Post 260 were each credited with one 1-0 win.
