Airbnb is the alternative to letting the government decide who stays in my home.

Let’s face it, this app allows me to decide when, how many and how often I let someone or a couple into my home. Not only can I read about them ahead of time, they can read about me. There is nothing simpler for my personal security.

You see, I’m an old fart and I’ve had a lot of experience with that. I lived the bulk of my life in an educational community. I’ve had visiting professors, psychologists, home care aides, foreign students and teachers live in my brand-new homes on multiple occasions, homes I occupied with my family. I’m not letting just anyone in my front door.

So why do I need the government to knock on my door and ask for money? I already paid them: It’s called a property tax. When and if a government official comes to my door, I ask to see a warrant!

There is absolutely nothing that the government can do to improve my experiences with roommates and overnight guests.
