In response to the letter “‘Resist’ movement not helping country” (July 25), love does trump hate and we, as Democrats, exhibit this love by fighting against racism, sexism, callous disregard for our landscape and our entire planet.
At the same time, we exhibit love by our fight for inclusiveness, by supporting those in need, by welcoming refugees who are fleeing war, by trying to make sure people who need health care receive health care, and by working to protect the roots of our existence as a democracy through a free press and support for voting rights and making sure everybody sees that what President Donald Trump is doing is not normal.
Resisting will help our country. It may be the only thing that will help our country.
