Protesters disrespect descendants of southerners

A large number of protesters cannot tell you if the Civil War ended in 1865 or 1965 and, in all actuality, know next to nothing of the history of any of it, good, bad or indifferent.

Tens of millions of taxpaying, voting American citizens are descendants of families who lived in the deep South, and 99-plus percent of their ancestors were not slave owners.

Those protesting the existence of Confederacy paraphernalia would seem to be receiving all the media attention and have unlimited rights in voicing their opinion, while the group I mention has no rights, no media or political attention and is, in effect, being disrespected.

This huge protesting (and grossly uneducated on this subject) faction purportedly is fighting for nondiscrimination and elimination of hatred and for respect for all in America while disrespecting, discriminating and spewing hate against the tens of millions who are descendants of southerners.

This protesting faction fell into this and is going to run with it and why not โ€” any and all opposition is being stifled Hitler-style.
