Lotsa garlic

The 19th Annual Garlic and Arts Festival takes place Sept. 23 and 24, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Forster’s Farm, 60 Chestnut Hill Road, Orange

The event features 100 booths showcasing regional artists, farmers, community organizations and garlic cuisine.

Live music and spoken word performances will be happening on three stages โ€” including a solar-powered music stage โ€” and throughout the fields and forest.

There will be garlic games galore including the famous raw garlic-eating contest, healing arts exhibitors, chef demos and, of course, food courts.

The festival is a non-profit event under the umbrella of Seeds of Solidarity Education Center. Proceeds keep it sustainable and affordable, and support the festivalโ€™s community grant program for local art, agriculture, health and energy projects.

Admission is $5 per day for adults, weekend pass $8, kids 12 and under free. There will be on-site parking for accessible tags and carpools of three or more and a free nearby shuttle lot for all others.

Pets are not allowed.
