What kind of country allows its children to be gunned down in their schools?
A study by The New York Times shows that the more guns a nation has, the more gun massacres there are. It’s not mental health or video games. It’s guns. America has about as many guns as people.
Since the National Rifle Association owns Congress, once again Congress will do nothing. But we as individuals can. We can stop calling them “mass shootings” and call them what they really are: gun massacres. It is important to implicate guns in these massacres.
We need to stop talking about gun control and talk only about gun violence. And we need to drop the word “firearms” and call them guns.
America has more gun massacres than any other nation on Earth. Let’s not mince words when we talk about gun violence.
