On a recent Tuesday morning in downtown Northampton, I witnessed not one but four different meter readers from Main Street to Pleasant Street giving out $15 tickets to folks parking to shop or eat.
That was excessive, to say the very least. Count me for one to no longer spend money at a downtown business. And no, I did not get a ticket this time.
