After reading the story in Tuesday’s Gazette (“Towed cars leave some marchers fuming”), I felt a need to respond.
I feel that Jeff Tenczar was totally justified to do what he did. I’ve known Jeff and his dad before him and I’ve dealt with both of them for what seems like forever. I would recommend Jeff in a heartbeat to anyone that needs car repair work.
He did more than most would have done by first contacting the police before allowing Ernie’s Towing to remove the cars from his property. Jeff pays the taxes on that property and nobody has the right to park there unless it’s related to his business.
I personally have left my car there for an appointment after a weekend, but it’s something that we agreed upon ahead of time. As for not having signs up, do you have signs posted on your property telling people to not park there or to even not turn around in you driveway? Most don’t.
Jeff has worked extremely hard to build up his business. He’s one of the hardest-working and honest young guys out there.
