My wife and I have experienced the hardest days of our lives and Donna Cabana, the home ownership coordinator for Valley Community Development Corp., helped guide us through a loan modification that would have been a disaster had we not had her help and kindness.
I was dealing with colon cancer and lymph node cancer at the time and we had no place to turn to. I prayed for help and out of the blue I called the Franklin County regional office of Valley Community Development and was told they only deal in housing, so I found myself calling its Northampton office.
We met Donna Cabana, one of the most caring people in our lives, and with her gift of knowledge I believe she saved our home from being taken away from us. Too many times in our lives, people who make this earth a better place to live go unnoticed.
We don’t have any awards to give her, but you can bet she’ll be in our prayers.
