SOUTHAMPTON — Milling and repaving on Route 10 is set to begin April 30 from Southampton Country Club to South Street in Easthampton, according to the Southampton Police Department.

Police said there will be construction in the area, after which the roughly 7.4 mile stretch of roadway will be repaved, except for the area that was recently redone in front of the Cumberland Farms store at 130 College Highway.

Southampton Police Chief Mike Goyette said the project is expected to take a month and a half to two months to complete. He said there will be some effects on traffic, including lane closures at various times for milling and repaving of sections of the road.

“Plan ahead for delays and motorcyclists, use caution,” Goyette said.

He said Southampton police will provide updates on any new information about the planned construction, milling and repaving.
