Dismayed by court ruling on ‘millionaire tax’

I express my dismay at the state Supreme Judicial Court’s decision to disallow the people to choose how they want money to be more equitably raised for social needs (“High court blocks ‘millionaire tax’ question,” June 19).

The court demeaned the people’s dignity in its decision, implying that they are not smart enough to make decisions for themselves.

This toxic arrogance is the corruption of centralized power, the very power that the referendum is trying to disperse.
