Four former Amherst Regional ultimate players were members of the United State under-20 national team that won gold at the World Junior Ultimate Championship.

Ryan Dinger, Orion Cable and Caleb Seamon helped lead USA past Canada, 15-10, in the title game, Aug. 25 in Waterloo, Canada.

Dinger had two goals and one assist. Seamon had one assist.

Dinger finished the tournament with 15 assists and four goals. Cable had four and four, while Seamon had five assists and eight goals.

The United States went 8-0 in pool play. The team beat the Dominican Republic (15-2), Hong Kong (15-3), Japan (15-5), Sweden (15-2), New Zealand (15-11), Finland (15-1), Great Britain (15-4) and Australia (15-6).

In bracket play, the US beat Italy (15-4) and Belgium (15-13) to reach the final.

Dinger graduated in 2017, while Seamon graduated this year. Cable is a senior.

Russell Wallack, who graduated from Amherst Regional in 2007, was an assistant coach with Team USA.
