It took five sets, but the Amherst College women’s volleyball team beat Middlebury, 3-2, to give coach Sue Everden her 700th career win.

Four players recorded double-digit kills in Amherst’s 24-23, 21-24, 25-22, 22-25, 15-10 win.

Cameron Hendricks had 15 kills, Jamie Dailey had 13, while Emily Kolsky and Claire Dennis each had 12.

Charlotte Duran had 49 assists, while Skyleur Savage had 29 digs.

Field hockey

UMass 4, Lock Haven 3 — Sophomore Lucy Cooper one-timed a pass by Antonet Louw to score the winning goal in double overtime as the Minutewomen won at Gladchuk Field in Amherst.

Cooper and Louw each had two goals and one assist to lead the offense for the Minutewomen.

Sophie de Jonge, and Bailey McNamara had the other two assists for UMass.

Johanna von dem Borne was in net for UMass and made three saves.
