The South Hadley girls soccer team stayed undefeated on the young season with a 7-0 victory over Central, Tuesday at home.

Alexa Blaney had three goals and Lindsay Marjanski added two to pace the Tigers (4-0). Each had one assist.

Olivia Blaney and Reese Carey added single goals. Teagan Gawron, Maddie Doolittle, Hailey Werenski and Molly Schlosstein each had one assist.

Bridgette Sears made five saves for her third straight shutout.

West Springfield 1, Belchertown 0 โ€” Julia Jimenez made five saves, but the Orioles (2-2) fell on the road.

Boys soccer

Sci-Tech 7, Smith Academy 3 โ€” Pat Lavelle scored on a corner kick to pull the Falcons (1-4) within 2-1, but the Cybercats answered 10 seconds later

Will Dobson then scored his first varsity goal from Sam Dadmun to cut the deficit to 3-2 before halftime. Dadmun found Dobson on a run down field and the freshman netted a shot far post from 18 yards out.

The Cybercats, however, pulled away in the second half at Springfield Central.

Max Bartlett scored late in the game, collecting a loose ball off a corner kick and potting his first varsity goal.

Ryan Belina made six saves in defeat.

Field hockey

Greenfield 6, Smith Academy 1 โ€” Jenna Hobert scored from Karlie Guimond in the second half, but the Falcons (0-3-1) fell at home. Taeghan Cavanaugh made five saves in defeat.

Raegan Hickey scored three goals, including the 100th of her career, for the Green Wave. She is the first player in school history to reach 100 goals.
