Cameron Perry broke a second-half tie as the Smith Vocational boys soccer team beat Hampden Charter, 2-1, Friday night in Northampton.

Colin Earl scored unassisted to give the Vikings (2-2, 1-2 Tri-County) an early lead in the 29th minute.

Hunter Johnson had an assist on Perry’s game-winner. Tom Doyle made eight saves in the win.

South Hadley 4, Renaissance 0 — Sophomore Declan Joy scored twice to lead South Hadley in the shutout.

Tyler Evans added a goal and Max McCurdy tallied a goal and an assist for the Tigers (4-1, 3-1 Schimd League). Clayton Koppi and Xavier Butzer combined for three saves to protect the shutout.

Girls soccer

Northampton 3, Agawam 2 — Mary Greene, Brigitte Goeler-Slough (assist) and Gabby Katz each scored, while Peyton Pettiford-Rowan had one assist and Sydney Lewandowski eight saves for the Blue Devils (2-3-1).

Ware 4, Smith Academy 0 — Madelyn Bell made eight saves for the Falcons (3-2, 3-2 Pioneer South) in a home loss to the Indians.

Mahar 3, Easthampton 0 —The Eagles allowed two penalty kick goals in a loss at home. Lili Pioli made six stops in net for Easthampton (2-3, 2-2 Pioneer North).

Gateway Regional 2, Pope Francis 0 — Erin Harris scored twice, while Ava Auclair and Hannah Duggan each had one assist for the visiting Gators (4-1).

Becca Herman made five saves in the shutout.

Mohawk 1, Smith Vocational 1 — Karlie Petlock scored from Ella Sherman, and Lizzy Hardy made five saves as the Vikings (1-2-1) earned the draw at home.

Monson 3, Amherst Regional 0 — The Mustangs scored three first-half goals as the Hurricanes (0-5) were shut out at home.

Minnechaug 2, Belchertown 0 — The Orioles (2-3) were shut out on the road.

Field hockey

Frontier 2, Agawam 1 — Olivia Vecellio scored first for the Red Hawks with a first-half unassisted goal. Emily DeMaio added a goal in the second half off an assist from Lily Spencer to give Frontier the lead.

Skylar Burniske stopped three shots for Frontier (4-0-2, 3-0-1 Valley League).

Westfield 3, Amherst Regional 2 — Sora Green finished with an unassisted goal for the Hurricanes in a road loss.

Rachita Randhir found the net off assists from Zora Dallmann and Becca Lee for Amherst. Lydia Sullivan made 12 saves for the Hurricanes (3-2, 3-1 Tri County).

Girls volleyball

Easthampton 3, Athol 0 — The Eagles (3-3) won 25-12, 25-15, 25-17 as Autumn Pinard had three kills, 15 assists and two aces.

Stephanie Horn finished with six kills, three digs and two blocks. Anika Devine had three kills, five aces and seven digs for the Eagles.

Westborough 3, Frontier Regional 2 — The Red Hawks pushed defending Division 2 state champions Westborough to the limit in a 18-25, 25-12, 19-25, 25-20, 16-14 loss on the road. Lauren Davenport led three Red Hawks (7-1) in double digits with 12 kills and added 19 digs.

Olivia Deane had 11 kills and 18 digs. Ashley Telega added 10 kills, Reilly Isler 26 digs and Elizabeth Fuqua 21 assists.

Longmeadow 3, Amherst 1 — Olivia Hogans smacked down 15 kills, but it was not enough as Amherst fell 22-25, 26-24, 28-26, 25-20 to Longmeadow. Amelia Beigel dished out 27 assists in the loss for Hurricanes.

Gymnastics

Westfield 125.475, Hampshire Regional 122.626, Chicopee 114.9 — Hadleigh Rogalski finished third in the all-around with a 30.75 for Hampshire, Thursday night.

Catrina Touchette won the floor exercise (8.475) and was third on the beam (8.05).

Maura Joseph topped the beam at 8.40.

Rogalski took second on the floor (8.35), while Hannah Wodecki was second in the vault (8.25).
