The Amherst College field hockey team scored three goals in the second half, rallying to beat No. 12 Williams 4-3 on Sunday.

Kendall Cody found the net twice, for the Mammoths (3-2, 1-2 NESCAC).

Laura Schwartzman (assist) had the winner in the 68th minute from Shannon Tierney (two assists).

Franny Daniels also scored, while Natalie Hobbs added an assist.

Katie Savage made five saves for Amherst.

Saint Josephโ€™s 5, UMass 0 โ€” Johanna von dem Borne made 11 saves, as the Minutewomen (4-6, 2-1 A-10) fell Sunday.

Smith 3, Wellesley 1 โ€” Deerfieldโ€™s Anna Ballou had a goal and an assist in a home win Saturday.

Sammie Pavlov and Jenine Jacinto also scored, while Morgan Handwerger added an assist for the Pioneers (4-3, 2-0 NEWMAC)

Menโ€™s soccer

Dartmouth 1, UMass 0 (2OT) โ€” Marvyn Dorchin made five saves, but the Minutemen (4-3-2) fell in double overtime Saturday.

Williams 2, Amherst College 1 โ€” Sebastian Derby pulled a goal back assisted by Dane Lind in the 85th minute Saturday, but the Mammoths (2-2, 1-2 NESCAC) couldnโ€™t catch the Ephs.

Michael Stone made six saves.

Womenโ€™s volleyball

Amherst College 3, UMass Boston 0 โ€” Emily Kolsky and Jamie Dailey (two blocks) each had eight kills in a 25-16, 25-12, 25-18 win.

Skyleur Savage made 11 digs for the Mammoths (9-0), while Charlotte Duran had 27 assists.

Babson 3, Smith 0; Keene State 3, Smith 0 โ€” Frontier Regional grad Emily Woodward played one set and had four assists and two kills, as the Beavers beat the Pioneers 25-16, 25-12, 25-21 on Saturday.

Caleigh Johnson combined for 16 kills in the two matches. Kimani Freeman had 38 assists, while Jody Huang added 20 digs.

The Owls won 25-16, 25-16, 25-15.

Womenโ€™s soccer

MIT 4, Smith 2 โ€” Zufan Bazzano tied the match in the 33rd minute from Peyton McBride, but the Engineer struck twice late Saturday.

Reilly Sullivan scored Smithโ€™s first goal in the 32nd minute from Krissy Wililams.

Naomi Falkenburg made 12 saves for the Pioneers (5-2, 1-1 NEWMAC).

UMass 1, Rhode Island 0 โ€” Kelly Marra kept the Minutewomen unbeaten in conference play with a goal in the 72nd minute. Signe Schioldan assisted her.

Peyton Ryan made one save for UMass (7-2, 2-0 A-10).

Amherst College 8, New England College 0 โ€” Alexa Juarez had a hat trick in the first 49 minutes Sunday and contributed an assist.

Caleigh Plaut, Hayley Roy (assist), Claire Naum and Julia Ralph also scored, and New England College had an own goal.

Sloan Askins and Natalie Landau also had assists.

Antonia Tammaro made two saves for the Mammoths (4-1-1).

Womenโ€™s golf

Mount Holyoke Invitational โ€” Amherst College won the team title at 619 strokes over the weekend.

Morgan Yurosek led the Mammoths with a 148 over two rounds.

The host Lyons shot a 669 for eighth, and Cortney Qui had a 158.

Menโ€™s Cross Country

Purple Valley Classic โ€” Clark Ricciardelli was seventh for Amherst College, completing the eight-kilometer race in 26 minutes, 4 seconds.

The Mammoths placed fourth with 118 points.

RPI won the team title with 41 points.

Womenโ€™s Cross Country

Purple Valley Classic โ€” Kristin Ratliff placed 10th for Amherst (23:15), who finished eighth with 179 points.

MIT won with 67.

Smith took 13th with 327 led by Karen Garcia in 33rd (23:58.2).
