Lauren Davenport notched a double-double, as the Frontier Regional girls volleyball team bounced back from its first loss of the season with a 3-0 road sweep of Longmeadow on Tuesday.
The senior outside hitter had 10 kills and 12 digs to go along with three aces, as the Red Hawks won 25-16, 25-23, 25-17.
Olivia Deane (three aces) added nine kills, while Ashley Telega (three blocks) had six.
Elizabeth Fuqua passed 16 assists, while Olivia Rosewarne added 10.
Libero Reilly Isler made nine digs for Frontier (8-1, 2-0 Eastern).
Field hockey
Mahar 4, Amherst 1 — Lydia Philbin turned away 19 shots, but the Hurricanes fell on the road.
Malina Kern scored in the second half for Amherst (3-2), while Gabriella Mahoney added an assist.
The names of Max Bartlett and Ryan Belina were misspelled in Tuesday’s Gazette. Bartlett had an assist and Belina six saves in a 3-2 loss to Greenfield.
