The South Hadley boys golf team remained unbeaten and established a stranglehold on the top spot in the Suburban East after taking down Amherst Regional, 15-9, on Monday.

The Hurricanes’ Eli Kayser-Hirsh won medalist honors with a 40, and he beat Logan Waite 3½-½ at the No. 2 position.

South Hadley’s Bill Scott defeated Evan Rutherford 4-0 at No. 1, while Will Ortyl bested Skyler Ferro of Amherst (6-3, 5-2 Suburban East) 4-0 at No. 4.

At No. 5, Nick Cirone won 3½-½ against Ben Oates.

Jared Waite triumphed 3-1 over Pieter Hartman at No. 3 for South Hadley (9-0, 7-0).

Chase Lashway picked up Amherst’s other win, 4-0 over Sean Sears at No. 6.

Frontier Regional also stayed unbeaten with a 15½-8½ win over Quaboag.

Kyle Maynard shot even-par 36 to pace the Red Hawks (9-0).

Frontier and South Hadley are on a collision course. The teams meet for the first of two matches, Friday at Cherry Hill Golf Course in Amherst at 3 p.m.

They meet again on Oct. 12 at The Ledges in South Hadley.
