The Easthampton boys soccer team and Hampshire Regional girls soccer team each qualified for the postseason on Friday.

Easthampton shut out Granby, 6-0, to punch its ticket to the Division 3 tournament.

Hampshire beat Renaissance, 4-1, to add its name to the Division 3 field.

Boys soccer

Easthampton 6, Granby 0 โ€” The Eagles (9-0) scored four second-half goals to pull away and qualify for the postseason with the home win.

Chris Williams and Adam Johnson each had one goal and one assist. Dylan Schmidt, Tyler Karakula, Henry Ferland and Sam Ferland each had one goal.

Fernando Tenesaca and Lucas Wajtowicz each had two assists.

Drew Cairas made two saves for the shutout.

Dominick Nomakeo and Michael McGreevy each made five saves for the Rams.

South Hadley 1, Hopkins Academy 1 โ€” The Tigers broke through with less than two minutes left to earn the draw at home.

Liam Sibley-Welch sent a cross to Jonas Clarke, who headed home toe equalizer with 1:54 left for South Hadley (7-2-2, 5-1-1 Schmid).

Addison Phifer gave the Golden Hawks (5-5-1, 4-3-1) the lead 12 minutes into the second half. Phifer netted the first goal out of a scrum in front.

Erik Berg made 13 saves for Hopkins. Clayton Koppi stopped three for the Tigers.

Sci-Tech 1, Gateway Regional 0 โ€” The Cybercats scored 19 minutes into second half and held on for the win in Huntington.

Jon Foley (three saves) and Preston Coffee (four saves) split time in goal for the Gators (3-5-1).

Frontier Regional 2, Palmer 2 โ€” Connor Bagdon and Emmett McGranaghan each scored goals for the visiting Red Hawks (5-3-2).

Sam Felton-Emerick and Ethan DeMaio each had an assist. Peter Bronke made four saves.

Chicopee Comp 1, Hampshire 0 โ€” Colin Boyle made four saves, but the Raiders (4-4) fell on the road.

Girls soccer

Hampshire 4, Renaissance 1 โ€” The Raiders (8-1-1) scored three second-half goals to break away from a 1-1 draw at the half and qualify for the postseason with the win.

Larissa Riley made it 2-1, while Sydney Shumway added the final two goals. Maggie Rubeck (assist) tied the game in the first half.

Emma Kuntz and Brianne Salomao each had one assist. Katie Taylor made four saves.

Smith Academy 0, Hampden Charter 0 โ€” The Falcons (3-5-1) had two corner kicks and a flurry of shots in the final two minutes, but couldnโ€™t break through. The draw ended a four-match losing streak.

Madelyn Bell made four saves in the shutout for Smith Academy.

Bell also made eight saves against Gateway Regional on Wednesday. Bell was misidentified in Thursdayโ€™s Gazette.

Frontier Regional 4, Mohawk 0 โ€” Jessica Wrisley notched three goals and Kaitlyn Mackin added one for the Red Hawks (6-3-0). Natalie Denkiewicz, Isabel Marrapese and Maddie Crocker all added assists. Siomara Green (one save) and Amalie Sullivan-Joyce (three saves) split time in net for the Red Hawks.

Field hockey

Frontier Regional 4, Turners Falls 2 โ€” Olivia Vecellio scored twice, while Allison Barnes and Emily DeMaio added a goal and an assist each.

Skyla Burniske stopped four shots for the Red Hawks (6-3-2), who led 2-0 at halftime.

Girls volleyball

Putnam 3, Smith Vocational 0 โ€” Marissa Rodrigues had six digs, two kills and one assist but the Vikings fell 25-8, 25-20, 21-25 at home.

Hannah Yilmaz and Joneliz Rodrigues Baez each had three digs. Haleigh Pensivy added two kills and Nyisha Salts had two aces. Amber Pensivy and Alexandria Tourigny had a pair of digs each.

Minnechaug 3, Amherst Regional 1 โ€” The Hurricanes won the first set, but the Falcons rallied for the 17-25, 25-18, 25-12, 25-16 win at home.

Nicole Lambert had five aces and 15 digs, Olivia Hogans had 10 kills and Amelia Beigel added 18 assists for Amherst.

Prep field hockey

Williston 2, Berkshire 0 โ€” Kate McDermott had a goal and an assist as the Wildcats won at home. Sophia Jones also scored and Bryn Saarela had an assist. Kira Bixby made six saves in the shutout. Rachel Burke, Maddy Cardaci, Sydney Ewell and Cora Webber played well on defense.

Prep girls volleyball

Williston 3, Berkshire 2 โ€” The Wildcats trailed 1-0 and 2-1, but rallied for the win. Chelsea Clark (three kills, two aces) and Erin Chai (five kills) played well in the second set, while Jersey Strum served well in the fourth set.
