Bryn Saarela scored the game-winning goal on an assist from Maeve Reynolds, and the Williston Northampton field hockey team beat Taft, 3-2, on Wednesday.
Reynolds finished with two assists in the game. Kate McDermott and Sophia Jones had goals, while Kate Holmes added an assist. Kira Bixby stopped eight shots.
Williston 1, Cheshire 0 — Jake Goodman scored the winner on an assist from Wyatt Wegrzyn.
Taft 3, Williston 0 — The Wildcats kept things even at halftime, but allowed three goals in the second half.
Selena Negron made 13 saves, and Grace Lane played good defense in front of her.
Williston 3, Cushing 2 — Sarah Sullivan tallied seven kills, and Chelsea Clark had five. Gates Macpherson and Jersey Strum kick-started the offense with their passing.
Deerfield 14, Williston 5 — Sam Haddad scored three goals and played good defense in a road loss.
