Two second-half goals ensured that the Easthampton boys soccer team kept the Schmid League title to itself Monday.

Nic Soucy scored on a free kick, and Henry Ferland also found the net, as Easthampton beat Hopkins Academy, 2-0, in Hadley to claim the league title outright. Had Hopkins won or tied the Eagles, South Hadley and Easthampton would have shared the championship.

Drew Caires made three saves for the Eagles (14-2-1, 11-1).

Erik Berg stopped four shots in the first half for Hopkins (10-7-1, 7-4-1), while Jack Feltovic made five saves in the second half.

Pope Francis 8, Granby 0 — Mike McGreevy made seven saves for the Rams (0-17-1), who finished their season on the road.

Granby seniors Max King, Kyle Murdock and Ryan Shaw played their final game.

Gateway Regional 2, Smith Academy 0 — Joel Sakaske and Ben Hyjek found the net in a season-ending win for the Gators.

Ryan Morin and Evan Lee added assists.

John Foley made three saves in the first half, and Preston Coffee added three stops in the second.

Gateway (6-11-1) seniors Tom Hyjek, Lee, Aaron Trask, Foley and Anthony Piquette played their final game.

Ryan Belina stopped eight shots for the Falcons (5-13).

Girls soccer

Gateway Regional 1, Easthampton 1 — Ava Auclair scored with four minutes left as the Gators salvaged a tie and earned a share of the Pioneer North title at home.

Becca Herman made three saves for Gateway (12-2-2, 9-1-2), which can win the league outright if Athol beats or ties Mahar on Tuesday.

Malia Sands scored from Celi Sumba three minutes into the game to give the Eagles (11-5-1, 8-3-1) a lead. Abbie Coleman made two saves in the draw.

South Hadley 10, Renaissance 0 — Alexa Blaney contributed five goals and two assists to a regular-season ending blowout and reached 100 points for her career.

Lindsay Marjanski added two goals and three assists.

Reese Carey had two goals and an assist, while Bailey Gawron added a goal and an assist.

Teagan Gawron, Paige Marjanski, Maddie Doolittle and Eise Manzi all had one assist, while Bridget Sears made three saves for the Tigers (18-0, 8-0 Grieve).

Granby 2, Holyoke 1 — Nora Young and Trystin Burger scored in the second half, as the Rams came back to close the regular season. Julia Frappier added an assist, and Julia Gauvin made six saves for Granby (12-5-1, 7-3 Central).

Agawam 2, Northampton 0 — Sydney Lewandowski made 11 saves, as the Blue Devils (8-8-2, 5-5 Kurty-Fielding) ended the regular season.

Pope Francis 2, Hopkins Academy 1 — Samantha Jenks scored in the first half, while Gabby Palmisano stopped nine shots for the Golden Hawks (5-12, 1-11 Pioneer North).

Girls volleyball

South Hadley 3, Agawam 1 — Kayla Simon tallied eight kills, six blocks and two aces in the regular-season finale.

Aislinn Ford added five aces, two kills and two blocks for the Tigers (13-7) in a 22-25, 25-11, 25-12, 25-11 win.
