Litiana Field scored in the 82nd minute to lift VCU to a 3-2 double-overtime victory over UMass, Friday in the semifinals of the Atlantic 10 Conference Field Hockey Tournament at Saint Joseph’s.

The second-seeded Rams took a 2-0 lead just 28 minutes into the game, but the Minutewomen (10-10) rallied as they have much of the past two weeks. Lucy Cooper tallied just after halftime before senior Courtney Ocasal scored her first career goal in the 52nd minute to tie the game.

Women’s volleyball

Amherst 3, Williams 2 — The mammoths fought off a challenge from the Ephs to win 23-25, 25-11, 25-22, 21-25, 15-12 in the NESCAC quarterfinals at Bowdoin.

Emily Kolsky led three Mammoths with 24 kills and 15 digs. Jamie Dailey smashed 17 kills and Cameron Hendricks chipped in 13 kills. Charlotte Duran passed out 43 assists for Amherst (21-4), which will face No. 2 Wesleyan in the NESCAC semifinals.

Correction

The UMass men’s soccer team was still mathematically eligible for the Atlantic 10 Tournament following a loss to Dayton on Oct. 21. In a story published Oct. 22, it was written that the Minutemen were eliminated from postseason contention.
