The Williston Northampton field hockey team fell, 3-2, to St. Mark’s in a NEPSAC Tournament Class B quarterfinal game, Wednesday in Southborough.
The Lions scored two goals within the first seven minutes to grab momentum.
Bryn Saarela scored from Kate Holmes on a corner play as the Wildcats cut the deficit in half by halftime.
St. Mark’s took a 3-1 lead before Sophia Jones connected off another corner for Williston.
The Wildcats earned a corner with 1 minute left, but a final shot hit the post.
Kira Bixby made six saves in defeat.
South Kent 3, Williston 0 — The Wildcats closed the season with a 10-4-3 record after the road loss in the NEPSAC Tournament Class B quarterfinals.
MacDuffie 2, Green Farms — The third-seeded Mustangs advanced to play at No. 2 St. Luke’s in the semifinals of the NEPSAC Class C Tournament, Saturday.
