Kudos to college student essayist

I was amazed to read what first-year college student Emma Forman had the courage, clarity of writing and personal experience to express: Social media isn’t necessarily the best or only means of communicating with other humans.

I take a lot of hits for not embracing everything from Facebook to Snapchat, but I’m often “excused” by friends and family because of my age, inexperience or grumpiness. So here’s a young person who has grown up immersed in social media — and she has voiced my concerns better than I ever could.

Thanks, Emma. I hope your message is heard loud and clear.
