The Smith College women’s basketball team went the distance with Westfield State, winning 108-100 in overtime, Wednesday at the Woodward Center in Westfield.
The game featured a pair of milestones. Lauren Bondi scored 38 points, including the 1,000th of her career for the Pioneers (7-3).
Lucy Barrett finished with 32 points to hit the 1,000-point milestone for the Owls (4-4).
Kennedy Guest-Pritchett had 33 points, 28 rebounds for Smith. Katy McClellan had 20 points and nine rebounds.
The game also featured a pair of former Hampshire Regional teammates now opponents.
Chelsea Moussette had six points and seven assists for the Owls. Katelyn Pickunka had five points, two rebounds and two steals for the Pioneers.
UMass 66, Boston University 55 — The Minutewomen (7-4) jumped on the Terriers (4-4) in the third quarter, outscoring them 20-7 to take command and win at the Mullins Center.
Hailey Leidel had 21 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals, while Jessica George added 18 points for UMass.
