Christopher Tenczar amassed four points on a goal and three assists, as the Easthampton ice hockey team beat Chicopee, 9-2, at Lossone Rink, Wednesday

Ely Boyle netted a hat trick, while Garren Fugiel added two goals and an assist. Jake Batchelder and Cole Growhoski had a goal and an assist each.

Jake Delisle, Tyler Galpin, Matt Sullivan, Mike McColgan and Jacob Voudren had assists for the Eagles (2-1), who have won two in a row after a season-opening loss against Amherst.

Brian McKelvey found the net once in the win.

Tyler Cortis made 24 saves.

Belchertown 3, Drury 2 โ€” Vaugh Gillen had two goals, while Matt Pacheco produced a goal and an assist in a road win.

Andrew Mugford and Brenden Conroy chipped in assists, and Ethan Rajpold stopped 24 shots for the Orioles (2-0).

Greenfield 9, Southwick 0 โ€” Doug Hanieski and Bryan Baumann had five points each in a road win.

Baumann had two goals and three assists, while Hanieski lit the lamp for a hat trick to go with two assists.

Aurel Pydych scored a goal and added an assist. Jacob Bryant, Porter Clancy and Kyle Barnes all tallied, while Sean Oโ€™Sullivan recorded a pair of helpers. Riley Drew made nine saves to pick up the shutout.

Girls basketball

Smith Academy 63, Westfield Tech 12 โ€” The Falcons (2-1) led 20-2 after the first quarter and 34-2 at halftime en route to the rout in Hatfield.

Karlie Guimond (11 rebounds) and Bailey McCoy each had 10 points, while Emma Kelly had eight points and 14 rebounds.

Freshman Elana Baranowski finished with four points, the first of her varsity career.

Belchertown 41, Quabbin 34 โ€” Sonia Dugger scored a career-high nine points and grabbed 11 rebounds, as the Orioles clamped down defensively for their first win.

Belchertown (1-1) allowed 15 points in the first quarter and just 19 the rest of the way.

Elise Pikul added 10 points, while Jenna Birks hit two 3s for six points.

Freshman Gina Camerota added five points, her first varsity scoring.

Boys basketball

Quabbin 59, Belchertown 47 โ€” Corey Lanoue canned two 3s to lead the Orioles with 13 points in a road loss. Cyrus Raines added 11 points and Jordan Lanoue had 10 for Belchertown (1-2).
