Senior Jordyn Vandergrift broke the pool record in the 1-meter diving event to lead the Northampton girls swimming and diving team to a 102-83 win over West Springfield, Wednesday at JFK Middle School.

Vandergrift’s total of 270.85 points was 1.85 better the mark set by Marina Wilkens, of East Longmeadow. It also improved her Hamp school record by over 15 points.

Eric Eastham, of West Springfield, set two pool records during a 95-67 win over Northampton. Eastham edged Nick Whitcomb’s 200 individual medley time by .01 seconds. Eastham swam 1:57.38 to break a record that was set last season.

Eastham swam 47.8 to win the 100 freestyle and beat Belchertown’s Ben LeClair’s pool mark by .3 seconds. LeClair’s time also came last season.
