HUNTINGTON – All schools in the Gateway Regional School District are closed today due to a water problem on the school’s main campus.

The statement was posted on the district’s Facebook page and its website.

The issue is with the pump surge protector in the well, and a replacement part is on its way, according to Superintendent David Hopson.

Hopson expects that the schools, which serves a number of communities in the Hilltowns, will be back open tomorrow.
