The Granby girls lacrosse team rallied and pulled away from Amherst Regional in the second half for a 10-6 victory, Thursday in Amherst.
The Hurricanes led 3-0 early and 5-4 at the break, but the Rams outscored Amherst 6-1 after halftime.
Madison Sexton finished with five goals and now has 92 career points. Gabby Walz (assist) added a pair of tallies for Granby (3-1, 1-0 Valley League). Ella Laliberte (assist), Jasmine Rodrigues-Jones (assist) and Julia Frappier scored one goal apiece.
Liberty Conlan made four saves in the win.
Tรฉa LaRaja and Maline Kern scored two goals apiece for Amherst (1-2, 0-1 Valley League). Emily Ireland, Zora Dallmann had one each, while Rachel Kawall had one assist.
Cleo Hein made 11 saves for the Hurricanes.
East Longmeadow 14, South Hadley 4 โ Hannah Bisson scored twice, while Breann Foley (assist) and Emilee Sowers (assist) had one apiece, but the Tigers (0-4) fell at home.
Alyson Cote made nine saves in defeat.
Belchertown 17, Saint Maryโs 4 โ Elise Pikul (assist) had four goals, while Erin Lucas (assist), Lily Guerin, Alexis Mastorakis, Kelsey Reardon and Allison Bessette each scored twice as the Orioles (4-0) cruised at home.
Emily Sayball-Wimmer had five saves in the win.
Samantha Moran scored twice and Katarzyna Wisnauckas registered 11 first-half saves for the Saints (0-4). Wisnauckas scored in the second half while Paighton Ramos had nine saves.
Belchertown 11, McCann Tech 2 โ Owen Sedlacek and Jake Condon each had two goals and one assist, while Justin Pendrick found the net three times as the Orioles (2-1) roll at home.
Matt Pacheco (assist), Ben Laliberte, Griffin Weiss (assist) and Owen Palmateer each had one goal. Nick Fellion and Cole Irving had one assist apiece.
Fellion made nine saves in the win. His assist was a pass to Weiss at midfield and the sophomore made a run up the sideline late in the game.
Westfield 10, Northampton 3 โ Mike McCarthy scored twice and Jay Mahoney added one tally, but a 6-1 halftime deficit was too much for the Blue Devils (1-1) to overcome at home.
Jonathan Marshall made six saves in the loss.
Amherst Regional 12, West Springfield 8 โ Everything came in threes for the Hurricanes (1-2).
Pierre Tilus, Dom MacDonald, Will Borrell (assist) and Dimitris Son each scored three goals as Amherst won at home.
MacDonald added three assists. Ty Borrell doubled MacDonald with six assists.
