The Smith Vocational baseball team scored eight runs in the final two innings to beat Gateway Regional, 10-5, at Arcanum Field, Monday in Northampton.

Race Drobiak (two hits) and Aidan Pike (three hits) led the way with three RBIs each. Drobiak picked up the win, striking out nine in a complete game.

Troy Barayon drove in two runs for the Vikings (4-2).

Nate Mollison added two hits, including a double.

Brett Bonenfant (two doubles), Wyatt Heeter and Ryan Orr had two hits and an RBI each for Gateway (1-2).

Tim Basak and Joel Sakaski each drove in a run.

Belchertown 6, Pioneer Regional 5 โ€” The Orioles (2-0) used a six-run fifth inning to rally from a 4-0 deficit and win at home.

Owen Raines, Jacob Torna, Chris Buffone and Cal Daskam each had one hit and scored a run.

Buffone earned the win, while Jenks pitched the seventh for the save.

Westfield 14, Northampton 5 โ€”Will Shaw struck out nine in 3โ…” innings of relief and picked up his first varsity hit for the Blue Devils.

Jack Power went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.

Kavan Powers, Seth Finnessey and Orion McLain also had their first varsity hits for Northampton (1-3).

Mount Greylock 5, Amherst Regional 4 (10) โ€” Alex Irizarry had three hits, including a double, two RBIs and two stolden bases but the Hurricanes (1-1) fell at home in extra innings.

J.B. Mills (two stolen bases), Luke Leonard, Evan Hu, Eli Kayser-Hirsh and Evan Dooley each had two hits.

Athol 13, South Hadley 3 โ€” Tyler Evans had two hits, and Will Ortyl drove in a run. Grady Provost walked three times and had an RBI. Aiden Sullivan singled and scored twice for the Tigers (0-3).

Softball

Frontier Regional 10, West Springfield 2 โ€” Lily Spencer had two hits (double) and drove in five runs in a home win.

Olivia Deane allowed just six hits and two walks, striking out two.

Natalie Denkiewicz (double) and Macy Ring (RBI) had two hits each.

Arianna Walker added an RBI single. Madison Fuller scored twice for the Red Hawks (2-0).

Gateway Regional 18, Commerce 1 (5) โ€” Nicole Hannigan (4-for-4) launched a grand slam in the fifth inning and struck out six, allowing just two walks and four hits.

Stephanie Paiva (3-for-5) and Donna Viel (2-for-3) also homered for the Gators (2-1, 2-0 Tri County).

Hopkins Academy 34, Lee 0 (5) โ€” Allison Markowski and Gabriella Dyjach each had three hits, four RBIs and both homered.

Gabby Palmisano added three RBIs and doubled. Jessica Markowski was 3-for-4 and drove in two runs.

Maegan Quinlan struck out four, allowing just one hit and no walks. She was 3-for-5 and doubled for Hopkins (3-0).

Northampton 17, Chicopee Comp 9 โ€” Katelyn Ramdath homered and tripled, driving in five runs for the Blue Devils.

Northampton rallied from a 5-0 deficit after the first inning.

Jill McGrath doubled and drove in two runs. Marissa Badorini struck out six to earn the win and added two RBIs.

Calista Lebron doubled and drove in two runs for Northampton (3-2, 2-1 Valley Wheel).

Smith Vocational 21, Westfield Tech 2 โ€” Ciara Sinno doubled three times, while Karlie Petlock added two doubles in a road win.

Megan Cone also had three hits for the Vikings (3-0, 3-0 Tri-County).

Ashley Schabacker struck out 12, allowing just two hits and three walks.

Boys lacrosse

Granby 14, Central 1 โ€” Nate Drapeau had five goals and two assists, while Mitch Lโ€™Abbee added four goals and three assists in a road win.

Kayden Laramee scored three goals with an assists, and Tanner Imelio dished three assists with a goal.

Bob Sharma (goal), Abe Goul and Logan Gray had assists for the Rams (1-4, 1-2 Suburban).

Nate Loughman made eight saves.

Belchertown 8, Monson 3 โ€” The Orioles (3-2, 3-0 Suburban) jumped out to a 4-1 halftime lead and never looked back in the road win.

Owen Sedlacek scored three goals, while Ben Laliberte and Owen Palmateer each had two. Matt Pacheco scored once.

Griffin Weiss and Tony Martel had two assists apiece, while Jake Condon had one. Nick Fellion made seven saves.

Longmeadow 17, Northampton 1 โ€” Jake Delisle found the net for the Blue Devils (1-4, 0-2 Valley Wheel). Jonathan Marshall made 10 saves.

Lee 17, St. Mary 0 โ€” Jeramy Hoar stopped five shots, and Colin Ramos made three saves for the Saints.

Boys volleyball

East Longmeadow 3, Belchertown 1 โ€” Nathan Courchesne had nine kills, while James Lawless added five in a 25-22, 25-19, 20-25, 25-21 loss

Lucas Czarniecki dished 15 assists for Belchertown (0-7, 0-5 East).

Sci-Tech 3, Smith Vocational 0 โ€” The Vikings fell 26-24, 25-21, 25-19.
