The Amherst Regional girls tennis team picked up its first win of the season, Friday.
The Hurricanes did not drop a set from their winning positions as they beat East Longmeadow, 4-1, on the road.
Rebekah Hong beat Julia Vivenzio 6-4, 6-4 at second singles, and Sofia Sotarello got the better of Ainsley Smith 6-4, 6-3 at third singles.
At first doubles, Christiana Lee and Liza Pobezinskaya dropped one game in each set in their sweep of Presley Foley and Lily Xu.
Mara Waskiewicz and Chang Jin teamed to beat Madelynn Gamber and Isabelle LaRocque 6-2, 6-2 at second doubles for the Hurricanes (1-2, 1-1 Valley League).
Anna Hugney, of East Longmeadow defeated Lilly Conrad 6-2, 3-6, 14-12 at first singles.
