The Williston Northampton boys tennis team beat Loomis Chaffee, 5-2, Wednesday, for its first win over the Pelicans in over seven years.

Kenny Wang, of Amherst, and Nikhil Sierros, of Florence, won at first and second singles, respectively. Joey Robbins and Luke Po, of Florence, won at No. 4 and No. 5 singles for the visiting Wildcats (5-1).

Williston swept the doubles point.

Girls tennis

Suffield 5, Williston 2 โ€” Praghya Raja won at first singles, and Brooke Smith and Noel Livingston took a win at third doubles for the Wildcats at home.

Baseball

Cheshire 6, Williston 3 โ€” Matt Pimental (RBI) and Raymond Toth each doubled, while Nick Heafey and Will Sawyer each had hits for the Wildcats in Easthampton.

Softball

Cushing 6, Williston 2 โ€” Jersey Strum struck out 11 and Sophia Jones scored twice, but the Wildcats fell on the road.

Boys lacrosse

Berkshire 14, Williston 8 โ€” Joey Ford (assist) finished with three goals but the Wildcats fell on the road.

Girls lacrosse

Deerfield 15, Williston 3 โ€” Campbell Nyarady scored twice and added three draw controls, while Kate Holmes added one goal and one assist for the visiting Wildcats.

Girls golf

Loomis Chaffee 5, Williston 0; Williston 4ยฝ, Miss Porterโ€™s ยฝ โ€” Mariel Sutinen shot a 43 to pace the Wildcats (5-3) in their split at Southampton Country Club.

Boys golf

Suffield Tournament โ€” Jake Sacratini shot an 83 as the Wildcats placed sixth.
