The American Legion Northampton Post 28 and Northampton Mickey Mantle baseball teams will hold joint tryouts on Saturday and Sunday at Arcanum Field in Florence. Tryouts are from noon to 2:30 p.m. each day.
Additional Legion tryouts will be held May 11 from noon to 2:30.
Potential Legion players must be born on or after Jan. 1, 2000 to be eligible. Players from Hampshire and Franklin County towns and schools are eligible. Eligibility remains tied to the team nearest the parent’s home, or the school the player attends.
Players are encouraged to make as many tryouts as possible. Players must bring a glove, cleats and birth certificate. All players from a previous Post 28 roster must attend tryouts to be eligible for the 2019 team.

The Northampton Mickey Mantle team will compete in the Pioneer Valley Youth Baseball League. Potential players must be 16 years old or younger as of Sept. 1, 2019.
