The Belchertown boys lacrosse team led by seven goals at halftime and cruised to as 12-6 victory over Central, Thursday at home.

Owen Sedlacek (assist) netted four goals, while Owen Palmateer (assist) added three as the Orioles (8-4) pulled within a win of qualifying for the postseason.

Ryan Sullivan-Daley added two goals, while Griffin Weiss, Shea Cunningham and Koy Monette each had one. Tony Martel had two assists and Jake Condon one.

Matt Pacheco made five saves over 2ยฝ quarters. Cuinn Lydon had one save over the final 1ยฝ quarters.

Northampton 9, Agawam 7 โ€”The Blue Devils (4-7) rallied from a halftime deficit then pulled away in the fourth quarter with three straight goals.

Jay Mahoney finished with four goals and an assist for Hamp, which went on a six-minute run in the third quarter to tie the game after trailing 5-1 at halftime. Jake Delisle added two goals and three assists while Jonathan Marshall made 10 saves.

McCann 10, Granby 3 โ€” Kayden Laramee scored twice and Nate Drapeau once for the visiting Rams (3-8). Tanner Imelio and Sam Gould each had one assist.

South Hadley 11, Pope Francis 8 โ€” Liam Dawson had four goals and six assists, while Shaun McEwen (assist) added three goals for the Tigers (4-6), Wednesday. Hunter Borowski had two goals, and Hunter Carey and Ryan Leverault one each. Anthony Cigal made six saves.

Logan Dapprich, of Amherst, had a goal and an assist for the Cardinals (6-7).

Girls lacrosse

Belchertown 17, St. Maryโ€™s 4 โ€” Elisa Pikul (three assists) had five goals and Allison Bessette (two assists) added four as the Orioles (8-0) rolled in Westfield on Thursday.

Kelsey Reardon (five assists), Alexis Mastorakis and Erin Lucas each scored twice.

Hannah Mitus and Katherine Wrona (assist) tallied once apiece, while Lily Guerin had one assist. Emily Saybell-Wimmer made five saves.

Skyler Duda and Katarzyna Wisnaukas each had two goals for the Saints (1-10). Paighton Ramos (six saves) and April Warner (eight saves) split time in goal.

Longmeadow 17, Northampton 2 โ€” Kate Sullivan scored twice and Ella Moreau made 12 saves for the Blue Devils (1-11, 0-4 Valley Wheel).

South Hadley 19, Monson 7 โ€” Hannah Bisson and Breann Foley each scored five goals as the Tigers (3-8) breezed on the road.

Bridget Sears added three goals, while Abigail Hartley had two. Erica Anderson, Ella Marion, Corryn Moroney (assist) and Gabi Moroney scored one once each.

Alyson Cote made 11 saves in the win.

Hoosac Valley 9, Granby 8 โ€” Ella Laliberte and Julia Frappier (assist) had three goals apiece for the Rams (9-3), Wednesday. Madison Sexton (two assists) and Jasmine Rodrigues each had one goal. Gabby Walz added three assists.
